Call it incredibly calculated. Or simply delightful.

But however the work hits you, the folks at discount retailer Big Lots and its ad agency of record O’Keefe Reinhard & Paul Chicago sure knew what they were doing when they sat down to devise a new social media-focused ad campaign for two new Big Lots exclusive merchandise lines designed for dogs and babies.

Anyone who’s been in advertising for more than five minutes knows that babies and dogs can be incredibly effective tools in advertising. Lots of people have a soft spot for both tots and pups, so, of course, they resonate.
