Getting America On Board: The World’s Busiest Sales Holiday

Black Friday is known in the US as the biggest sale of the year. But globally, the 11/11 sale is nine times the size, so we teamed up with AliExpress to give everyone in America a chance to celebrate the biggest sales holiday in the world.

AliExpress, a division of Alibaba, commonly referred to as “the Amazon of China,” was looking to grow its customer base stateside and partnered with us to launch a campaign to create awareness and generate sales in the US market. AliExpress chose 11/11, which is akin to Black Friday in China and other global markets, for its first big marketing push in the US.

We created a campaign that used a retro, 1970s cultural celebration as a call to action for consumers to get “All Aboard the AliExpress” to find big shipping discounts on a variety of merchandise up to 90% off.
