For Big Lots, we needed to bring in new customers and transactions for a low-awareness brand. After gleaning insights from ethnographies and shop-alongs with customers, we crafted an authentic and truthful brand voice that not only created emotional connection with our diverse audience but also retail differential.
From jumping on hot consumer trends or adjusting promotional offers due to inventory or logistics, we were able to quickly shift to capitalize on business opportunities. Given that Big Lots was a highly promotional brand with weekly and daily deals, we produced campaigns and asset templates that could easily and flexibly accommodate the ever-shifting needs of the business.
